1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Debatiste ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Debatiste is a live video debate platform where registered users can engage in structured debates on various topics. The Platform provides video calling (via Daily.co), floor control, AI-assisted judging, and audience participation features.

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

4. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You agree NOT to use the Platform to:

• Post or transmit content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Share terrorist content, CSAM (child sexual abuse material), or content promoting terrorism
• Engage in harassment, bullying, doxxing, or stalking of other users
• Share non-consensual intimate images ("revenge porn")
• Deny or glorify genocide, including the Holocaust
• Defame or libel specific individuals
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Distribute malware or attempt to hack the Platform

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove any content that violates these Terms. Users can report content through the built-in reporting mechanism. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. In accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), we provide a transparent notice and action mechanism for reporting illegal content.

6. Recordings and AI Judging

Debates may be recorded for replay purposes. By participating, you consent to recording. AI-assisted judging is provided as entertainment and does not constitute a binding evaluation. Recordings may be reviewed by moderators to enforce these Terms.

7. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Banned users will be notified of the reason and may appeal by contacting admin@debatiste.cz.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is." We are not responsible for the content created by users. We act as a hosting provider under the EU Digital Services Act and are not liable for user-generated content unless notified and failing to act.

9. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their debate content. By using the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and replay your content within the Platform.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and the European Union, including the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).
